Challenge: Create an updated graphic system for Burpee seeds and gardening products. Template must be flexible enough to work across over 1000 sku’s and help the iconic brand provide more information to their customers.

Solution: BSD explored multiple directions to ensure the best ideas were applied to this assignment. After careful consideration the above design was selected for its fresh look, bursting with sun rays, a redrawn logo and improved information tab. BSD worked with Burpee’s in-house design team to ensure the template fit their work flow as well as worked with Burpee’s print partner to make certain the graphics would reproduce to their expectations. The new design has been very well received by their customers and retailers across the country.

Line Extension: Seed Starting Kits and other gardening products also received an update thanks to the flexible template developed by BSD. The cohesive family look unifies all of Burpee’s products and simplifies the shopping experience.

Logo Refresh: A redrawn flower along with classically modern typography provides a welcome update while preserving the recognizable cues of the previous logo.
